My top florist ick is gatekeeping on information about Wedding flower budgets. It is near on impossible to find information on google about the cost of wedding flowers and I have no idea why most florists ask you to contact them privately for any prices. I would rather my pricing information was out there loud and proud so that you can make an informed decision and there’s no big surprises! Because the price is the price right? and knowledge is power!

I aim to be the most helpful wedding florist in Brighton & Hove so here’s a breakdown of what you might expect to pay for some of the most common items we get asked about: (my current 2024 prices)

Bridal Bouquet – Flower Budget Guide.

This baby is the belle of the ball. Depending on what you want and any specific requests, starting price is £235. A The Brighton Florist signature bridal bouquet is bold and sculptural with a mix of interesting textures, beautifully hand-crafted with an essential bouquet ‘bounce‘ to walk down the aisle.

I’ve crafted my bridal bouquet technique over my many years as a wedding florist and it is extremely technical!! It has to be so that I can get every single flower to sit and face exactly where I want it. I want it to look like a piece of ART in your arms. My bouquets also use premium flowers – because nobody wants supermarket available flowers on one of the biggest days of your life. My flower favourites that make up my signature look are roses, anthuriums, hydrangeas (when it’s not a heat wave) + orchids.

Buttonholes / Boutonnieres

These are the little guys that go on the lapels of your wedding party. They tie everyone together and make them feel party of your special wedding team. I love a contrasting colour buttonhole to the colour of suit. Traditionally they are worn on the left lapel and always recommend pining them on BEFORE putting the suit jacket on. Buttonholes are £15 each. £20 for a more special one for the Groom.

I hydrate my buttonholes in a hydration chamber to make them last the absolute longest possible time on your wedding day. They’re often up against hot weather, a lot of jacket removal and, of course, hundreds of hugs!

Table Centrepieces

These are the focal point of your round reception tables. Prices for centrepieces can vary depending on what you want and your wedding flower budget.

Bud vases are a way to add just a touch of flowers. We suggest one collection (3-4 small vases with a few stems in each) per 8-10 guests. One collection £60.

Medium centrepieces are made in a compote style urn and have a diameter of approx 25-30cm. Starting price £75.

Large centrepieces cause drama. They might sit on a plinth so they can drape down towards the table or sit proudly on the table, being the star of the show. Starting price £225.

Ceremony decor

If you want to create an Instagram-worthy ceremony space, you’re going to need some serious floral arrangements. The cost for this can range from £750 to £1,500+ or more. It all depends on how big of a statement you want to make. Pedestals, arches, pillars, hanging installs.

Other floral arrangements

These are the extra little touches that can make a big difference in bringing the entire vision together into one cohesive aesthetic. Cake flowers, hair flowers, flowers to attach to signs, approx £40+ each but that depends on the scope, because you could have a one tier cake or might have a ten tier cake to decorate!

So, there you have it! The cost of wedding flowers can obviously vary depending on your exact requirements but hopefully this gives you a little insight into some prices, no gatekeeping here!
