Before working with silk, I worked for 7+ years exclusively with fresh flowers. That background changes everything.

Fresh floristry teaches you how flowers behave – how they move, how they sit together, how negative space matters just as much as fullness. Trends don’t start in artificial flowers; they start in fresh floristry, fashion, interiors, and art direction.

Because I work with fresh flowers, I stay ahead of trends – not behind them. I know which colours feel current, which shapes feel elevated, and which combinations already feel tired.

That knowledge doesn’t disappear when you switch to silk. It becomes the foundation.

Over the past year, I’ve tested silk flowers obsessively – suppliers, materials, finishes, stems, movement. I’ve rejected far more than I’ve accepted. Only flowers that pass for real, photograph beautifully, and hold their shape over time make it into my designs.

• stems are shaped, and reworked
• proportions are adjusted
• movement is intentional, never stiff
